Protecting Democracy, One Election at a Time

Work in the next election.

Precinct election judges work at the polls on every election, and to those dedicated citizens we entrust the fairness of each election. Those people who serve as election judges are your neighbors, friends, relatives, and you!

Yes, you too can help monitor the election and make sure everyone who is entitled to vote can cast their ballot and that the number of ballots cast will be the same number counted on election night. Simply having trusted citizens serve as election judges is how we can ensure that the votes cast in our local poll are correct.

The Lyons Township Democratic Party and the Lyons Township Republican Party are authorized by Illinois state law to appoint election judges who will represent their respective parties.  As your Lyons Township Democratic Committeeman, I want to make sure that we appoint Democrats who want a fair election and will watch closely to ensure it happens.

To be appointed a Democratic judge, go to the Cook County Clerk’s website and fill out either the Election Judge application or the Polling Place Technician application. Then make sure you email me at lyonsdems@comcast.com to make sure we are aware of your request. Every effort will be made to place you in your own local polling place so that serving is easy and convenient.

Need more information? Contact Kathy Rosenbeck at 708-594-2113 at the Democratic office and she can help you get signed up to serve as an election judge for the March 2024 Primary!
